Location details for SPECTRE revealed in Austria

spectre-news-1

A location said to be used in SPECTRE has a very familiar look and feel.

Possible spoiler: click here to reveal

According to The Bond Bulletin, the town of Sölden was chosen by filmmakers for SPECTRE following the opening of IceQ restaurant in the summit of a local mountain.

The article is based on information provided in Tiroler Tageszeitung and although no details have emerged it looks very similar in many respects to Piz Gloria from On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.

The teaser poster for the film, which officially started shooting today at Pinewood, features a bullet hole in glass, suggesting the car windscreen through which Tracy was shot dead after her marriage to 007. But, would they really rework On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, a film that many Bond fans consider a classic?

Of course there is no guarantee the restaurant will be the villain’s lair at all and it could be used for another purpose entirely.
